Dear Chris, how we are all going to miss his gregarious, generous spirit. I I loved every minute of my visits to both Bagmore and Whistley and there were many of them. Life was never dull with the Campbells, always something to do in the woods or on the lakes, chalets to clean and parties to prepare. No one came to the house without being offered hospitality and a glass of something. He could be infuriating, outrageous, funny but above all he was the kindest of human beings.

We were lucky enough to have Chris and Cleo as our neighbours here at Whistley Farm. What special neighbours they were and what fun times we had ! Chris was such a special person and so much more than just a neighbour, funny , kind generous ( particularly with the vodka !) and truly inspirational. So many wonderful memories, particularly the many spur of the moment BBQ’s , the fun rides in the side car and not forgetting the hair raising rides in the bumble bee buggy !
Chris played such a big part in our lives for which we are so very thankful , we will miss him so very much. Chris , we will never forget you , you will always be in our hearts! Tim, Debbie, Adam and Ben

When Jo or I got ‘lost’ on a dog walk we were easy to find, we had been drawn in by that infectious smile and chuckle, ensnared for the evening with offers of red wine and snags “brown or black” , and great banter. Chris and Cleo the most generous and full of fun and life hosts you could wish for became firm friends. Oh for the world to be full of witty, intelligent and generous folk like Christopher Campbell, an honour to have known him and sad to have lost him, save the memories. Condolences to all that we’re lucky enough to have known him. Andy and Jo.
